How to automatically add a signature to every blog post on Blogger

Adding a signature to the bottom of your blog posts adds an extra personalization that kicks your blog up a notch. It's an easy way to make a premade blog template look custom (and fairly inexpensive if you're buying an add-on).

If you've decided you'd like to tackle installation yourself, follow along! It's a super simple process, promise!

Start at your blogger dashboard and hit the "customize" button.

Find and click the "Advanced" option on the lefthand side of your template designer.

Next, scroll down until you find "Add CSS," which is the very last option:

Now grab the code we sent you, or use this code here if you didn't purchase an add-on from us, but change out YOURURLHERE for the URL of your signature image (you can host it for free on places like Photobucket). Hit the little "Raw" button to make copying + pasting easiest:

Copy that code:

Paste it into the "Add custom CSS" box and you should be able to see the signature live on your blog below it. You will probably need to scroll down a little.

You may need to adjust the "200px" number to fit your template. You can see how it moves live on your blog below the CSS box as you play with those numbers. 200 pixels is a good width for many of our blog templates, but feel free to play with that number.

When you're happy with the way it looks, hit the "Apply to Blog" orange button in the top right corner and you're done! It should now be live on your blog, on all your blog posts. If you used this tutorial to add a signature to your blog, I'd love to see it! Throw a link to your blog in the comments. :)

Happy blogging!
